ApconiX Celebrates Opening Swedish Office

Dr Michael Morton, Professor Ruth Roberts and Dr Richard Knight flew to Sweden to celebrate the opening of ApconiX AB in Gothenburg by sharing coffee and cake (fika) with our fellow tenants in the BioVentureHub.

Experienced toxicologists Drs Steffen Ernst and Björn Dahl, who are based at the new Swedish office, joined the three Directors and Co-Founders and around 20 guests.

“We are particularly grateful to Iris Öhrn and Jamie Smith for all their help in establishing the new subsidiary.  And for making the whole ApconiX team so welcome,” commented Richard.

“The cake, of course, was fabulous.  Especially the traditional Swedish layer cake, prinsesstårta.  Everyone back at Alderley Park in the UK was hoping some cake would make its way back in someone’s suitcase (no chance!),” remarked Mike.

It was a great opportunity to meet old friends and new.  ApconiX is looking forward to helping companies in Sweden and all over Europe to bring safer drugs to market more quickly.

“It was lovely to meet up with our new colleagues and those that have helped to make our expansion into Sweden a reality.  Many thanks to everyone for making the event so memorable,” added Ruth.
