ApconiX Is Recruiting an Expert Electrophysiologist

You will be based at our headquarters at Alderley Park, the UKs largest science park in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside, close to Manchester and its International Airport (10 miles) and with direct trains to London every hour from Wilmslow/Macclesfield.
The Role: Expert Electrophysiologist
We are looking for an expert electrophysiologist who can step into our ion channel team to develop and deliver manual patch clamping for research purposes and to meet the needs of our growing client base.
Your Profile:
You will have at least 3 years of manual patch clamping experience and an in-depth knowledge of ion channel biology. You will have the experience to work alone and in a team, designing, conducting, interpreting and reporting electrophysiology data, supported by our team of expert electrophysiologists and our highly experienced project toxicologists.
Candidate essential requirements:
- Qualified to PhD level in Biological Sciences or similar
- At least 3 years’ experience of manual patch clamping
- A developing scientific track record in electrophysiology
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills
- UK right of abode
The position is for 12 months with the possibility of a permanent role in the future. We are looking for full time employees, but we are highly open to part time and/or flexible working. The company offers competitive pay, pension and holidays.
