“The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” at Alderley Park.
On the 26th of September, we hosted a Macmillan coffee at Alderley Park. It was a lovely morning where we all came together for a cuppa, some delicious home baking and a chat, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. We had Pimm’s cupcakes, vegan carrot cake, lemon drizzle cake, banana loaf, individual Victoria sponges and enormous cookies, all homemade by the team at ApconiX. There were even homemade baked treats to take home to the dog which went down really well!
We all entered our best bakes for judging in “The Alderley Park Bake Off” and Julie Knight won the title Star Baker. She won a lovely set of chef knives which she can’t wait to use! Ian Slater also featured in the top 3 bakers and won a voucher which he has kindly donated to the charity.
We also raffled an enormous teddy bear, which raised £60! So big thanks to everyone who entered.
Massive congratulations to Angie Leigh who won – we are sure he’s going to a lovely new home!
All together we raised an amazing £300!! This takes our total to over £1000 which is halfway to our goal before the end of the year. The money is going to make a massive difference to lots of cancer patients and their families all over the UK. We hope you are as full of cake as we are!
Once again thanks to everyone that came down to the Alderley Park Macmillan Coffee Morning! And thanks to the Alderley Park team for helping us make it so fab! We hope everyone that came down had as much fun as we did!
It’s not too late to donate, please click on this link to help us reach our target by the end of the year.
